Listening to Learn

You are home alone and hear a thump. What was that? You stop to listen. Listening is not the same as hearing. Hearing involves just your ears, but listening also involves your brain. You pay attention and think. “What is that thump? Oh, it’s just my cat!” Listening is how you learn.

Are You Listening?

Listening is a great way to learn, but being a good listener is not easy. You can’t daydream and listen at the same time. You must focus and engage your brain.
