Using Words Correctly 1
Some words are easy to mix up. Watch out for these:
- its, it's: Its shows ownership. It's means "it is" or "it has."
It's fun to write a letter and put a sticker on its envelope.
- their, they're, there: Their shows ownership. They're means "they are." There refers to location.
I turned the envelopes over and wrote friends' addresses there. They're going to write their own letters to me.
- to, two, too: To shows movement toward something. Two means "2." Too means "very" or "also."
I wrote to my two best friends. I hope they write me, too.
