To show a special connection between two simple sentences, you can join them using a subordinating conjunction such as after, although, as, because, before, if, once, though, unless, until, when, where, while, why.

The technology exists. I will fly a jetpack.

Once the technology exists, I will fly a jetpack.

I will fly a jetpack once the technology exists.
