Using Perfect Tense Verbs

Perfect tense verbs describe action completed (or "perfected") in the past, present, or future.

I have found a treasure!

       (The perfect tense verb have found describes completed action in the present.)

I had dug all morning before finding it

       (Had dug describes completed action in the past.)

By tomorrow, I will have counted all the coins.

       (Will have counted describes completed action in the future.)
