Using Commas in Complex Sentences

You can join two simple sentences into one complex sentence by using a subordinating conjunction (although, because, if, unless, until), which makes one clause depend on the other.

Bread making is sort of like gardening.

It takes hours instead of months.

Bread making is sort of like gardening though it takes hours instead of months.
