Using Apostrophes

Use an apostrophe to form a contraction. The apostrophe takes the place of one or more letters.

Our baseball team isn't good. It's great!

(Isn't is the contraction of is not. It's is the contraction of it is.)

You can also use an apostrophe and an s to form a possessive. A possessive shows ownership.
