Forming Tenses

A present-tense verb tells that the action is taking place now, or takes place all the time.

Gabe checks his toolbox.

A past-tense verb tells that the action happened earlier in time. You usually form past tense by adding d or ed at the end of the verb.

Yesterday, Gabe decided to build a treehouse.
